Being a new parent is not an easy task. You have to constantly entertain and care for your baby, and I’m sure you know by now, sacrifice your sleep. Most new parents only get a few hours of sleep per night, and the majority of their waking hours are spent caring for the child. With a newborn, there’s barely time for yourself, let alone have fun. If you’re looking for a way to reduce stress and make caring for your child just a little bit easier, an outdoor swing is your answer.
Infant swings are basically motorized swings that have built-in toys and music. They sooth babies and make them go to sleep. And, when the babies are awake, they are entertained by the swing and can give you some time to relax and rewind. Infant outdoor swings, especially those made by Fisher Price, Disney, Graco and similar companies, are very comfortable and secure. Babies, even newborns, will have no problem falling asleep in these swings, and since they are strapped in, you won’t have to worry about injury. This will give you some time to catch up on chores around the house or maybe do a little reading, spending some time on yourself
Kids II, Disney, and Graco are all great brands for outdoor infant swings. Fisher Price is as well, though they are usually a bit more expensive the difference is minimal and can be worth the extra money to get the options you’re looking for. You can get outdoor infant swing at baby stores such as Babies R Us, but I recommend buying them online. With the internet, you can get the cheapest prices, while having access to the most inventory, and therefore the best selection, playground safety
How Cradle Swings Help You and Your Child
I don’t have to tell you this, but being a parent is not easy. Especially with newborns, you have to dedicate the vast majority of your time to caring for your child. It can be stressful, tiring, and frustrating. I think we can all agree that the struggle is worth it, but that doesn’t change the fact that while you’re a parent of a young baby, you won’t have much time for yourself. Cradle swings offer some assistance, as they make getting your child to sleep much easier than usual.
Companies like Fisher Price, Kids II, Graco, and Disney all make cradle swings. There are certainly other producers of the swings, but the ones listed above are the higher-quality ones. I recommend sticking to these brands. Some of them may be a little more expensive than the generic brands, but in the long run, the price will be worth it. Even if your cradle swing helps you get just an hour of sleep more per night, wouldn’t that be worth almost any price? And cradle swings are pretty affordable. You can find them for as low as $40 or so, but for a nice one you can expect to drop at least a hundred or more. The top-of-the-line ones can run up to $500 or more, but I don’t recommend them. After all, your child will soon outgrow the cradle swing, and then you’ll be stuck with an expensive swing that can only fit younger babies. Don’t get the cheapest one available, but also don’t spend a fortune on something that’s not going to be in use for more than a year.
